研究の興味は，主にシステムの安全性・信頼性，認知工学、ヒューマンファクターです．自動車の運転支援・自動運転を安全に利用するためのヒューマンマシンインタフェース（HMI)や、人間中心の自動化の思想をベースにしつつ安全確保をシステムが自律的に行いうるアダプティブオートメーションに取り組んできましたが、最近は縁があってこれらのシステムを利用するための教育・訓練の在り方についてもいろいろ検討しています。また、視野障害など、知覚・認知の機能に制限のある方に向けた支援の在り方についても検討しています。
