Message
I teach and supervise students on Development Economics and South/Southeast Asian Studies at University of Tsukuba. By training I am an agriculture and development economist and mostly use experimental approach in my researches. During 18 years’ research and teaching career with the Universities/think tanks, INGO (BRAC) and Government, I have gained a diverse perspective on international development and dedicated myself to test acceptability and adoptability of different technological and institutional innovations in low-income and emerging economies. My research projects got funding from JSPS, 3ie, IGC, Gates Foundation, DFAT, etc. In recent years I published in American Journal of Agricultural Economics, Technology in Society, Asian Journal of Innovation and Policy, Journal of Bangladesh Studies, etc. Due to professional reason, I am linked with a number of professional societies and have been nominated as one of the Executive Committee Members for Asian Society for Agricultural Economists (2017-2020). Due to research reason, I travel extensively across the continents.
